2022 Travel In Review

Monthly Travels and Adventures Recap for 2022

July 2022 Boston {Beacon Hill, Acorn Street}

The goal in 2022 was to travel at least one time per month that was not work related for me (might have been considered “work” for my husband for but fun for me). I am happy to say I met that goal with the exception of September but had dual travel in June which made up for the 12 travel adventures. We lost of our dear pups in September where she spent a week of her life in ICU before passing.

Here is how it panned out:

January: Pigeon Forge, TN {The cutest cabin where we got a little snow and spent time with my husband, nephew, sister and brother-in-law}

February: Savannah, GA {This trip was a spur of the moment where we hopped in our car and ventured there. We did not even have a hotel until we got to Savannah. 10/10 these types of adventures.}

March: Charleston, SC {I got to spend the weekend in Charleston and celebrate my cousins wedding and eating some great BBQ while my husband flew to Boston to buy a truck and drive it home!}

April: Orlando & Daytona, FL {We started this trip by heading over to Disney for a day (Hollywood Studios) and then skipping to Daytona for a cheer competition for my step-daughter.}

May: Cancun, MX {Another trip booked the night before we left! We had been trying to find some *new* places to go but fell back on our *go-to* for Cancun. We stayed at the Margaritaville Resort. While this resort was much smaller, we enjoyed the newly renovated rooms and facilities}

June: Kansas City, Mo & Topeka KS {This month my husband and I split trips again. He ended up going to Vegas with his daughter for a concert and then when he got back, I skipped to see one of my best friends in Topeka. It was really neat exploring the mid-west, as most of my adventures in the mid-west had stemmed from driving across county.}

June: (second trip) Charlotte, NC {This trip was with my step-daughter and we ended up going to Def Leopard, Poison, and Motley Crue perform.}

July: Boston, MA {This was probably our quickest spur of the moment trip. My husband met me for lunch and we booked a 6pm flight for that evening. So. much. fun. Boston was thoroughly impressive and I can us making this a regular place to visit. The harbor was breathtaking and I would love to rent a boat and head out on the water for a weekend.}

August: Ocho Rios, Jamaica {Wow! This trip was bundles of fun! We went to celebrate my brother-in-laws 40th birthday with some of his closest friends. When these friends get together, you know it is going to be a blast.}

September: No travel due to the passing of our sweet Cada baby.

October: Chattanooga, TN {This was a fun city! We went primarily for the Mecum Auction Event that my husband does a lot of photos for a client who participates in the auction.}

November: Las Vegas, NV {SEMA! The first week in November is always dedicated towards SEMA. I’m sure if you know me, you know Vegas has my heart. It’s bright lights and food will surely steal some hearts.}

December: NYC, NY {This was certainly a mixed emotion trip that had been on my bucket list for quite some time. The sheer amount of foot traffic and business made it hard to enjoy some of the *fun*. Nevertheless, NYC in December is magical. The window displays, the holiday spirit and the trees are gorgeous.

We have a few adventures for this year planned but do not plan on traveling every month. I am excited for some concerts and comedy shows we have planned in the first six months of the year.

Stay tuned! My goal is to write more this year and stay intentional with my time.

-XOXO
